THE IBERIAN PIG

The Iberian Pig is a unique autocthonous breed from the Iberian Peninsula. Jamón Salamanca has one of the largest pure bred female herds. This domestic bred is perfectly adapted to grazing on the pasturelands here, where they forage for nutrients amont the oak and cork trees in the local dehesa ecosystem. Due to the feeding on acorns and grass we obtain a high quality meat. Products obtained from this unique breed are always impregnated with delicate tones able to win over even the most demanding palate.
